Your First Visit to Our Bismarck Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Your first visit to our office is designed for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. Our purpose for this visit is to gather information - what brought you to the office either a condition or a desire to be healthier and what has has happened to you in the past that brought you to where you are today. Allow about an hour for your first visit.

After filling out our Health History forms, we will sit down to get to know each other by discussing what brought you into the office and to see if Chiropractic is something appropriate for you at this time. If we feel Chiropractic would be beneficial to you, we move into a Chiropractic examination. It consists of checking the entire spine and nervous system through a spinal exam, computer nerve scan, and postural exams to see how your body has adapted. After the exam, an x-ray evaluation is possible so we can see the condition of your spine to better make decisions on care. After all the information is gathered you will be scheduled for a follow up visit and given some information to help you make a decisions on care.

Dr. John Asks some important questions of interest to Bismarck residents - Chiropractor Bismarck Dr. John Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
